    New from Wera:

Mini-Torque and Micro-Torque screwdrivers with small-dimensioned handles / Torque for desired values / Versions with pre-set or adjustable torque available / Distinctly audible and noticeable excess-load signal when torque value is reached / Special ESD version for electronics applications /

Wuppertal.  New Mini-Torque and Micro-Torque screwdrivers are presented by the Wuppertal-based screwdriving specialist Wera Werk Hermann Werner GmbH & Co. KG in spring 2014. The manufacturer is thereby reacting to the increasing demand for torque tools for many diverse applications whilst at the same time appropriately enhancing its range

No longer any nightmares of freeing overtightened screws.
The small but sophisticated screwdrivers reveal themselves to be really useful and dependable assistants in confined working spaces whenever torque-controlled solutions are needed. Since screws are frequently applied to much softer materials such as plastics or aluminium, there is always the danger that threads will be irreparably damaged due to overtightening.
But now it is a case of: “danger recognised, danger averted“! The Mini-Torque and Micro-Torque screwdrivers by Wera exactly limit the torque to the value defined for the respective screw or application. The torque screwdrivers are available either in a pre-set version with a fixed torque or as an adjustable model with variable torque ranges. In the case of the latter, the torque value required is quickly and easily set manually with no additional special tools being necessary. Additionally, there is a fundamental choice that can be made between a workshop version for precision mechanical work and a special ESD version for electronics applications.

    Protected by the “click”:
This latest addition to the screwdrivers compliments its “brothers” in the Wera ranges as it offers all the well-known and proven qualities. Even these small torque screwdrivers make “click”: when the pre-set torque value is reached, the user hears and feels a distinct excess-load signal.  This “click” signals the end of the screwdriving process. On the other hand, the loosening torque of the screwdriver is unlimited which means that even seized screws can be loosened.
